Another amazing Hurley Classic. I had loads of fun providing skills workshops for the Younguns Paddle with the Stars. It’s an awesome opportunity for these younger paddlers to get out there, and meet and paddle with some of the world best freestyle paddlers. Some of whom no doubt will be the future stars of freestyle. Well done all involved.

Over the years the Hurley Classic has grown into an International Paddlesport Festival celebrating freestyle and paddlesports. The event welcomes paddlers of all levels of experience, bringing together pros and amateurs to compete and learn. We recently delivered a British Canoeing DSM Level 1 for Freestyle during a BC Coaching Matters Event. Great to see so many coaches wanting to get actively involved in freestyle. It has so much to offer clubs whether they’re whitewater or pool based. The DSM L1 showcases freestyle paddlesport, providing the coaching foundations to be able to coach freestyle skills.
