Visa Rahkola (National Champion) has been named the Association of Sports Journalists (ASJ) Canoe Sports Athlete of the Year 2021, in recognition of his European Championship success in 2021 (currently ranking him 7th in Europe). Visa now has his focus on the World Championship final and a podium place.

Kayak Session Magazine, said that “both these ladies have been ripping it up this year and both got the same amount of votes.
