I had a great day yesterday providing safety cover and technical advice to the BBC. I also had the privilege to work with Paul Rose. Paul is one of the world’s most experienced divers and polar experts and is also expedition leader for the National Geographic Pristine Seas Expeditions among his many other projects and talents.  He’s currently presenting a new a new documentary for the BBC, part of which features the River Tees. The producer invited Claire O’Hara (World Freestyle Champion) to give Paul a taste of white water kayaking on the river, and provide an insight in to why it’s such a popular destination for white water paddlers. It was a great day and Paul really submersed himself into this fascinating sport.  We’ll keep you posted on the screening date – in the meantime, here are a few photos from the day…
